im next, but....
oh man, on the occasion of a new mt2 chain track, my friend and i got extremely drunk. please forgive, i need about 5 hours to sober up a bit..
but i shall come up with something weird and exciting .. hey i'll download it now and see what the drunken state gives me.. and if it sucks in the morning, i'll disregard and start something else..
i have a new drum n bass mt2 in progress so possibly i'll see if i can incorporate it, but only time will tell.. (unless i pass out.. haha, sorry!)
mikx, who hopes you guys can understand what he is typing.. |

on the other hand... i think i'll just pass out...
(sorry, i tried to compose something, but all i came up with is a cheezy drum and bass beat.. and its pure cheese, trust me!)
back in several hours.. my apologies to followers...

it was supposed to be 4 patterns per composer
Oh well, anyway maybe adding in the middle should be allowed, the song moves a bit too fast imo, so if someone wants to extend some part in the middle he could do so. Rewriting credits when doing so is required though. |

I think that error can be fixed. Just expand every 2nd pattern's length to 256, and paste every other 2nd pattern into the new blank areas
Erm, right, that sounds confusing actually, erm, scrap that idea! |

hey fellas, sorry i took so long but after (barely) waking up, not yet fully sober at 6pm today, i realised that i had to go to work!
after work i came and wrote my bits for the chain track.. it's uh.. 'minimally' different, so who's next?
ah yeah also i added qbical to the composer list. by the way i love this whole track, its so deep!! somebody ought to make a hybrid-like powerful breakbeat remix of it.. (the deeper part with the strings and such..)

So I think nobody's in queue so I'm gonna go now.
I dunno how you had it in the first chain but I figured originally to this that you could have multiple runs and I'm not gonna settle for those first two patterns
I'm going to try continuing lollie's part. Let's see how it goes.
Edit: not very well. Gah. Well I ruined it now.
Well I should have started earlier in the day to have more time to play with it. Well maybe I'll fix it some other day or something.
I added dates to the credits, check them that they are correct.

maybe future contestants (er, not that it's actually a contest though) can try to keep adding as little samples as possible so as the file doesnt end up being huge?
mikx

grin but you have to admit an MT2 file that is 1.00 Gigabytes in size would be something impressive. |

I optimised the file a bit, removed some empty space from my samples and changed the guitar samples to 8-bit 22khz. Filesize dropped with 2mb
edit: Gah, had a second listening to it now, with speakers, I happened to notice that changing the samplerate affected the 9xx commands in the guitar so they are slightly wrong now but oh well. |
