Something completley new!

Ok. So first of all I just want to say that this is not an official release yet Razz So please don't spread it^^
Becaus I'm having it in a compo and the songs can't be released if they are to compete. But the rules say nothing of letting your cool internet pals check it out and give some constructive comments on it before! ;D

Please tell me what you think! It's a completley new genre for me. I've also decided to go under the name Captain. For the time being! ;D

A decent track. It lacks the cleanness and crisp be so simple. And it lacks the melody variety to be this fluffy (can't find a better way to put it). I think its the rodes and that the bass is to loud. Its technicly quite good but it doesn't get to me. Sorry.

No need to apologize for your oppinions! Wink

Could you define cleanness and crisp.. if you mean cleanness = clean then that's how I wanted it to be. Kinda dirty^^

And yeah, after listening through it a couple of times I've noticed that the bass at least is too loud. And the hats too.

And regarding the melody, I view it more as a "mood-song" then a "melody-song" ;P

Hmm yeah, the bass hurts ears at those certain notes, but otherwise it's okay. This is mostly a problem at the beginning and at the end. In the middle the situation gets a bit better.

I like the melody. Repetitiveness doesn't matter if it works, and this works for me. Melancholy always rocks, doesn't it. The vocals also bring some more atmosphere. The mood is broken unfortunately in the middle. It's still sad, but in a different way. The middle is like we-have-no-water-we-are-gonna-die-of-thirst whereas the other stuff is we-are-riding-this-bus-till-eternity. Ehm... Yeah.

This song brings some kind of melancholic athmosphere, which I like a lot.

The drum arrangement roxxxx!!!
I like that the most in this song.

I gotta agree about the bass....did you forget to cut it in the break?

Nice melodies...
I like that production and in fact I like the whole song!

What I was trying to say is that the songs too muddy for my taste. I don't know if thats what you mean by dirt (which I asociate with lo-fi and distortion).
