Wow. I Can't-freakin-believe that this is working. I've got Madtracker 2 running great on osx. I'm using this program called crossover. There is a free beta available for osx from their site: http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/

Here's the screenshot: www.kmotiv.com/mt2mac.tiff

As far as I can tell it's stable...

Help me test this out...this could be huge...

K

To bad it only runs on intel macs, and not on my powerbook...
But the software is going to be pretty useless since leopard is going to have some virtualisation options build in to run windows software, so save your money for the new osx...

Since windows VST plugins will need to go thru the virtualisation software I guess that it will not be that good, but with a new mac pro with 2x dual xeons it should rock nontheless Wink

I wonder how it will preform with osx vst plugins though, if possible at all

I can imagine that the virtualitation software burns quite a few clockcycles Smile
I also wonder if the virt. software runs in is own shell or that it can communicate within the osx shell, so that rewiring and that kind of stuff is possible ...

Aw, that sucks...I was hoping that it would run ok on older macs as well. After some more testing, it seems a bit unstable...but I've NEVER been able to get my latency this good on a windows machine before. I guess you've gotta give and take.....

I'm going to to more extensive tests this weekend, running vst instruments etc, too see how it stacks up. I'll post any info pretty soon...
