Rewire is nice and all but id love to be able to open MT as a VST out of cubase and have the MT/XM saved within the host's project file...
also would be SO nice if the file>open dialogue gave the original BPM of the selected song, so it can be set in the host.. lots of times i have started songs in trackers, and want to build off them using tools w/i cubase. FL studio works nicely as a vst, but im not fond of the FL way of doing things.
thx!!

MT as vst plugin: great idea. Much better than rewire.
Rewire is not working well enough. I've tried it with just about every rewire host out there and there was always some problem. Had MT2 worked as flowlessly as Reson, rewire would be completely adequate. As it is, tracking while MT is in rewire slave is too cumbersome if not impossible. |

I think it's more work to rewrite MT as an VST then to tweak the rewire mode. I agree rewire mode is extremely buggy but it has more potential then a VST instrument in terms of routing and stuff like that |

Unless you mean convinient activation and disactivation of channel, I don't see how rewire has better routing than vst. Vst cen send and receive audio and midi between host and plugins. Rewire probably can't. |
