Okey, so here it is. My first shot at dance music
The chord progregssion kinda tuned out to be pretty close to Call On Me by Eric Prydz.. :/ But whatever. It WAS NOT on purpose

1. The drums can't carry themselves alone.
2. When the pads come in the muffle out the kick and eliminates the rythm.
I didn't like it that much, is technicaly ok for the most part. Not realy my kind of music so that migth be it. |

I thought the intro with the kick was a bit to long, and sounds kinda empty... But i really like how you panned the pads when they begin, and i like the melodie, could have a bit more variation though.
so keep it up, someday we will dance |

I believe you've compressed your track too much. The kick disappears completely after the pads come in (like Frazze said). Sounds a bit like you're going towards house with the pads but not with the drums. The drums need to be developed more. The melody as an idea is good, but needs to be developed also. What you have there is a background, what's missing is the lead or more layers imo. |

well...(i'm listening it now)
really I don't like the first starting... I think it's a too much tipical old idea star only with "Kick"... and then com'on the kick and a e_china (well, a hi/hat or similar!).
----
After that, I think the song comes to be good "house" music.
I like so much the drums you've use on it!
Maybe too much repetitive, because all the song really is the same, you only have being inserting new songs...
But, sounds good. I think you have use perfectly the VSTeffects and others effect.
Maybe it would be a good song for some "ambiental party" jaja... or something else!!
Bad think ending only with kick too!!! |

i can see what you were aiming for styrman, and it actually turned out pretty well. i think you filtered the chords a little too much, they sound a bit muddy. and as people have said, the kick is too weak. the percussion is ok, i guess youve tried to emulate the perc on call on me, you arent far off but need a tighter snare, the hats need to be a bit quieter, higher pitched and vary the volume on them a bit.
the remix is brilliant, the perc is great, i really like the bassline and the piano is the lead that the track needed.
whats the vocal from? i recognise it (think its on the soundtrack of man on fire). its slightly out of time though i think. |

Actually, I made the perc before I even made the chords, and I didn't listen to Call on me until after I made the chords. Haha. But I guess it still got pretty close! Thanks for the comments! I'll sort it out sometime. ^^ Remove 10 tons of compression and add some breaks and figure out a lead!

Yeah, the remix is great! Jesper says thank you!
The vocals are from "Carlos Varela - Una Palabra". And yeah, it's on the man on fire OST! |
