A Wave Export Question

Hi! A question for Yannick...

Is there any difference in OUTPUT WAVE sound quality if:

- I record sound in CoolEdit while MadTracker is playing a song, or

- I would use the Wave Export function of MT2?

Thanks!

Short answer: yes

If you record the sound input in cool edit, you get noise from the soundcard, plus if MT for some reason isn't able to play the tune well in realtime (read: the CPU can't cope), then that will be reflected in the recorded sound. Wave export is better. There won't be any noise, and since it doesn't work in realtime it makes no difference if the tune is complex or not, the end result will still be great quality.

And on top of that, the interrupting "skips" and clicks can be a real bitch of a thing to clean up. I know from experience, and that's only because I can't get the cash to register the damn--I mean, uh, the lovely piece of software (Yes, no-one will pick away THAT cover-up)

Hmmm... well, thanks for the info. I just thought there's something more to it. By the way Chicago lollie, you don't need money to have full version of MT2... if you use eDonkey, just tipe in mad tracker, and you'll get the full version Wink .

Nah, I'd rather not.
Besides, even if I did, it'd only end up as the normal registered version anyways. I'm nearing the $80 mark as it is (lovely holidays, y`get money, and don't spend it at the caffeteria Cool )

I had actually looked for a crack in my earlier years (about 2 years ago), and only found two or three for normal. None for professional. I used a cracked version for about a week, then removed the dat file and reinstalled MadTracker `cause it didn't help me do anything except find a new music name. Some of yous' will remember the name Lollie Slash, from the old forums.
The songs I'd been making with the cracked version were going screwwy with the name in the about box, just showing ¤/ all the time...
Right, where was I going with this? Oh right--
Cracked versions end up only being good for picking names.
The end! Rolling Eyes

and don't forget the "Warning! This song has been created with a cracked copy of MadTracker!" when someone loads one of your song. Wink

Seriously, Dead Person, what kind of help or answer do you expect from us if you openly suggest a way to get a pirate copy of MadTracker?
Or maybe you're just plain stupid?..

You know... I actually got that message a couple of times when I loaded an old song, but it said "Unregistered User" in the message box...
Oh well, that's for another forum anyways.

Hehe, oh right, DP, didn't you know that Yannick pops into the forum too? Laughing

Posting this here is like emailing your friends with a cc to Bill Gates and saying "check this out! I found this Russian ftp server where you can just download a full version of XP for free! Amazing huh?" Very Happy

Whatever people... I just wanted to know if there's any difference in the sound output if using WAVE EXPORT (or is that "cubic interpolation" stuff nonsense Rolling Eyes ...)...

And as for this "piracy" bullshit...it's a common knowledge that you can get everything on eDonkey (including a full version of Windows XP, and Bill Gates knows that Crying or Very sad )...
