Skyler Sinclair - Perception of Harmony

Here's a new song from moi, that I've actually completed and am, for the most part, satisfied with. It's got a similar theme to my last one, but I made quite a bit more effort to get it to sound righteous. Seriously. All the effects and stuff practically gave my CPU a hernia. Oh well, it's all in the name of good muzak. Smile

Perception of Harmony

I'm probably done with it, I worked on it for so long that it's practically turned to mush in my head. Howevah, if you find any relatively SIMPLE things wrong with it (Razz), I'll see what I can do to fix them.

But don't let that stop you from making a cold, hard review! Very Happy

Happy listenings plz!

the intro synth is cool, sounds like a didgeridoo (spelling?). could be a bit louder in the mix.
the beat is great, really nice tech break sound to it.
the bassline needs to be much more prominent in the mix though. as it is the track is totally dominated the beat and everything else sounds like it is in the background.

anyway, other than that its awesome. definately your best work to date.

Thanks for the critique-age! Very Happy

Yeah, it is a touch repetitive... I have to work harder on my arrangements :\ It's tough, though, because I have to render everything to audio, which makes it difficult and time consuming to make a decent structure. I'll try harder next time Smile

And about the bass synth... it's a z3ta preset that I messed up and stuck some external effects and cutoff automation on. One of the "lfo bass" patches, if I do recall... Usually they sound rather unpleasant, but it wasn't too bad, I hope Wink

When the beat started I thought I´m listening to a prodigy track!
The beat is very cool man! Makes me wanna do some breakdance moves....lol.

Very good track but I would have wished for some cool leading melody in it.

Anyway....nice job!
