I really like this especially the hank marvin guitar.
But that open hihat sound is horrible and makes the drums sound cheap and weak. I reckon if you swapped it for a crisp, sharp open hihat, the tune would be so much better.
Let me know if you fix it up |

Awesome. This is some really good stuff. I'm wondering, are there any samples from old records in it, or did you record/sequence the guitar and everything yourself?
When I really pay attention to it I would agree with Goose on the open hihat thing. However, if I don't pay attention to it I don't even hear it (good or bad... ). |
what is hip?

thanks.
no samples from records etc. in it.
concerning the open hihat: maybe...
my songwriting-tempo on piano/keyboards
is quite fast, but finishing the
arrangement is super-slow,
a real torture. i never reach the state of being
satisfied 100%(not even 90%), but when i think it's ok,
then i move to the next track,
so i don't think i will exchange the hihat,
i fear you must cope with it:)
concerning hank marvin(shadows), ventures,
spotnicks, incredible bongo band etc. :
i really like that stuff, but in the first place
the original songs, not the cover-versions.
it's the same thing with the moog-lps
of the early seventies:
moog plays the 300 best songs of the beatles,
christmas moog..., sometimes funny,
sometimes quite good, but i miss moog-lps
with original songs, there are only a few.

yes, indeed, if you want an authentic sound
(which was not my aim),
you'll have to exchange the drums
(maybe a real drummer),
and, of course, the bass,
which is a simple synthetic one.
the plastic touch is what i meant with 80s flavour. |
