http://www.museresearch.com/

An external VST-host for both VSTi and VST.
Hopefully it won't be too expensive. In that case I'll buy it immediately when it's out!

To prepare himself for mt3? Smile It doesn't support plugins 'that were lended from a cd that a friend gave'. This plugin will cost you quite some extra money in that case. There is also software that enables you to use a second pc as a host for vst/dx plugins, so that the second rig will do all cpu-intensive processing for you. Yes, it costs a second pc and it fills your room like the smoke from a burning cow, but the idea is rather appealing. No more realtime fx limitations!

Yah, I started to hesitate when I read about that it might not work with all VST's if it's not specially written for that application.

I can't afford it right now anyway Smile, so I'll see what'll happen in the future.

The reason why I want an special gear for VST, especially VSTi? Because I want to keep VSTi's away from my main computer, as it takes cpu time and is not really stable all the time.

But now that you mention it, i do find it somewhat hilarious that although I've been gone for 3 months, I'm still listed in the top ten posters. How bout that for a healthy participating MadTracker community....
