sorry if this has been brought up before (guess i'm a bit slack to check hehe). i like to fiddle around with filtering things on the fly with VST effects like low pass filters, phasers (pew pew?), twiddling the cutoffs and LFO rates and all that. it would be awesome to record all this as an automation on the fly as well, like as i move the sliders and knobs on the actual VST effect's user interface.
although would this have to be done in a separate VST only automation? |

This is one of the reasons I now work in cubase ( soon only in live ) with madtracker in rewire. Your tracks really gain another level when you just play with the filters and stuff on a midi controller and record that. So, use rewire and if you don't have the above software you could always try one of the free substitutes like reaper! |
