Im not an expert with midi hardware but i have some suggestions that might help. First, make sure you plug the connector that says 'out' to the port on your keyobard that says 'in' and plug the 'in' connector to 'out'. Secondly, when you connect the keyboard to your computer windows should detect it and a message will pop up telling you this. If this does not happen it may indicate a problem. Thirdly, your keyboard may work without even installing drivers, I really don't know for sure. To test this out, go into mad tracker and click the tab that says edit and make sure 'MIDI enabled' has a check mark next to it. Then, with your keyobard connected to your computer, click on 'configuration' which is located in the edit tab directly under 'MIDI enabled'. In the configuration menu, go to the MIDI tab. You will see a drop down menu labeled input. Click input and hopefully your keyboard will be listed as an option. If it is, select it and you should be good to go. If your keyboard is not listed that probly means you need to install drivers for it. These should be available at the Casio website and once again what you are looking for are called drivers. After installing the drivers, repeat the process I outlined in step three.
Since I have no idea of your competency level or background I have tried to give the minute details that you or may not be familiar with. Hopefully some of this info is helpful to you. |
