Is there any way to load SF2 Instruments in MT2.
Most trackers use 1-sample instrument, but I like my tracks to sound real Very Happy . Sometimes I build my Instruments exporting samples from FLStudio, Instrs sound great but that's a lot of work!!! Sad

A SF2 file contains 1 or more well produced Instrument (most times). It would be great to load those Instrs in MT2. Cool

Yannick, when are you going to add .ITI support in MT? I can use IT effects but it instruments... Question

Search for "Awave"

http://www.fmjsoft.com/awframe.html

Not the complete answer, but may help.

Ozzone: I don't know how far your knowledge of audio software goes, but in order to make Goose's answer a bit more understandable: Awave is used to transform hundreds of audio formats to another format. By using Awave, you can simply transform your SF2 to - for instance - wave files. I never checked if Awave can actually transform a SF2 to - let's say - an MTI or XI file.
I would be interested to know though Smile

Kind regards,
Inge Janse

You can use XI's - fasttracker instruments like me.

or you can build own musltisampled MTI's like me Smile
(Akai multisamples converted to wavs rule Smile)

Awave sf2 -> xi conversion... well i think it's not proper way if we talk about multisamples, envelopes etc.
I used Awave to save SF2's as a single waves and i putted it together in MT2 as a MTI's using original sf2 mapping...

but...

Awave can read IT modules and convert ITI's to MTI's! It works fine. I've checked it out.

XI only support 16 samples, not enough for me...

Awave converts from any known instr format to MTI, that's great, but HQ instr formats are layered... Awave only exports the 1º layer! Crying or Very sad Sad
SF2 is a layered format, Mad Is there any (simple)way to convert SF2 instr to MTI (mixing layers?)?
I don't want to export 50 wavs and then build a MTI, there must be a simpler way, I hope...

Lukily most SF2 instr have 1 layer (like guitars and drums) but HQ pianos are multilayered (sometimes over 20 Sad )!!!

A new question, is there any MO3 replacement for MT2(is Yannick working on it)???
Well, WinRar is not magic. You can get up to 70% compression ratio, when files are big, MO3 (only for IT,XM,MOD,S3M) up to 15%. (Don't answer: Render your MT2 in a MP3 Wink )
