I want to start making some music the easy way, the tracker way, and have several questions. Myself, am I techno fan, and want some good tutorials as how to compose a song from start to finish. I found on google the fact that this guy, owning this domain and many others literally invaded the Google search engines:
http://www.make-your-own-dance-and-techno-songs.com/
Is the 10 bucks for his "bible" worth it? Anyone bought it? The guy said he has no music theory ... anyway. Finished the tutorials on this site, and am still a little fuzzy and in the fog. What is the best place to start? Composing, listening? Learning the basics of a Synth? Can anyone point me in the right direction? |

The tracker way is not the easy way. Who told you that? - What that guy is trying to sell you is the easy way. Its predefined sounds that you can put together and call you own - while your kid brother bangs his head to the new beat
Most serious trackers would`nt bother with that stuff its kinda like the difference between a real guitar and a toyguitar with neat coloured buttons and presampled solos...
Thats what I think anyway. |

You missunderstood me. I do not want to make music like that guy advocates. I want to make music with a tracker software (MadTracker preferably). And I want to generate my sounds using VST plugins. I only asked if that resource or book or site or whatever is worth a dime.
So ... being a complete noob ... any directions? |

Thanks, the music theory stuff was really good though a bit hard to grasp the first time. How would you "delayer" a normal comercial track? Like seeing the parts ... also ... any definitions for words like pads, strings, etc? |
