Greetings
I'm new to MT and trackers in general.
Starting to learn MT as a newbie, I was stuck with several limitations, like no undo/redo, no insert track, and no mute track while still able to listen to your keyed playing.
So, I thought I evaluate another tracker, to see which is better. As a newbie, I need to spend my time learning the best tracker, to avoid doing it allover again later.
So, I stumbled upon Renoise, and it seems that most stuff that is missing in MT is already there in Renoise: multiple undo/redo, insert track, mute and play it yourself, auto adding sub tracks as you play, among many other abilities. But then again, I'm just a newbie. I'm not fully aware of the advantages of both trackers. So I though I ask you:
What advatages MT has that makes it better than Renoise, or why do you prefer MT?
If its only your work done with mt2 format, then what about newbies? what advise do you give a newbie, who didn't produce any work yet with either trackers: which one should I start learning?
Thanks very much in advance. |
