 |
Hello friends .. I need some help with Panning
Well , Here is the problem ....
Since I'm a beginner I was xperimenting with the functions of MT so In the song MORECOLD by PATT FINK ,exactly in the fourth pattern ,there is a sound in the track number 6 that is produced by SUPERWAVE P8 instrument and altered by EPHONIC EXPRESSOR effect . Well , the thing I want to achieve is panning from right to Left or viceversa .. and as many of you would do , I set 00 at line 00 and FF at line 63 and then you know the SHIFT + V shortcut ... well , I don't know what I did do wrong but for some reason the sound can't shift from one speaker to another .... Is there anything I did wrong or still need to do ? ...
Thanks in advance , thanks for your help ! Hope you all are doing great ! |

wow that was interesting, I would like to add maybe this only works with samples. You could use the automation to change the balance from left to right. Here is how you do it.
1. Press the Automation button. The window apear and you can see all the tracks right ? Now below the tracks you will find all the vst's you used.
2. Click on SUPERWAVE P8. A list of options will apear, though this is not all the options see ? So what you have to do now is pick one of these options and change it to your OSC panning setting.
3. Just click the first option and notice that the same option apear in the folder at the bottom of the automation window.
4. In that folder you can find all the options for Superwave P8.
5. Find OSC 1 Pan
6. Now choose the effect and right click in the lower left corner of the automation window, then again as far up as possible but in the center (32 if your block is 64 patterns) A line will apear from the down left corner and up to the center. To finnish it rightclick in the lower right corner, you will now have a panning from left to right to left. in one block.
7. repeat the steps on the seccond option but choose instead OSC 2 Pan |

WOW , thank you deepsleeper , your answer was really helpful ,I DID IT !
I never realized the option of choosing OSC PANs
,after doing what you indicated the effect was not very clear .. but after disabling the EPHONIC EXPRESSOR effect , the panning was totally noticeable . Shifting from Left to right or viceversa perfectly .... .
Do you know where I could find a vst or something that makes easier entering notes into madtracker ? Well what I want to do is to enter notes directly without transposing because I'm not familiar with notes .. or maybe you know a good site with helpful info about notes.
For example I load an instrument and a virtual keyboard that is used by the instrument and record the notes into madtracker while I play it.
THANK YOU ..... |

I suppose you mean something like live midi recording. hmmm you can do that, but it is a tricky thing to do, let me check up on that, then write back to you. |

As i said it is tricky, but if you really want to do it.
1. make a beat as a metronome on every 4,8,16 or 32.
2. make sure your mid keyboard is connected and chosen in the configuration in the midi section.
3. right click on the next 4 to 8 tracks so a little white dot appears on each track. (It will only record at the tracks you have chosen)
4. make sure both keyjazz and Multichannel is chosen for this setup.
5. turn on the editfunction and press play, start playing to the beat.
6. adjust.
And here a little link to where the notes are placed on a normal pc keyboard,

You could also use noteworthy a note program, there you can make your notes and save them as midi files and then load them in madtracker, I would also like to see that as a change in Madtracker from MT 2.6 to maybe Madtracker 3. A notation score and a daw window. enabling you to move samples up and down with the mouse and much more detailed than at the moment. |
