this is probably a really stupid question but how do i use a midi keyboard in madtracker? and what would the benefits be other then it being a keyboard =).
i dont even know how to hook the midi keyboard up besides midi out on keyboard to midi in on computer. but im sure i can figure out how to do that myself.

Just hook your midi keyb to your midi input on your soundcard, enable midi in Madtracker (Edit->midi enabled) and you should be set. That's how it worked for me anyway. If not, then you might have to change the midi input device in the configuration.
benefits then, not much else then that it's much cooler to use a midi keyboard (one has to think of coolness factor in this pop culture of ours  ), and it's much easier to have jam sessions, to come up with new melodies, to test instruments and so on.  |
