could someone share some information of goa/trance base lines?
what im looking for is a guideline on what makes and breaks a base line and the techniques used. Any info is GREAtLY appreciated. |

Well, use around 140 bpm for a start..
The main bassline melodies of goatrance is often made out of 1/16 notes, with some note slides between some of them. Try to use some accent if possible. Use indian scales, try this one for example: A, A#, C#, D, E, F, G#, A ... Sure sounds indian to me at least

the TB303 is the main source of the base line in GOA trance I'd say. I'm not an expert on goa trance though, so don't take me too seriously. |
