 |
ok im fairly new to this, and im picking up pretty quick. so far my only issue...
how do you select a sample from an instrument?
ex. if I create a new instruemnt and load 10 .wav files into it. I can't seem to pick anything other than the first sample loaded. I can view the details of the other samples I just cant hear it.
thanks for any help (sorry if this has been asked, didnt see in the help file?)
thanks,

In the instrument editor window, you have the list of the samples used by this instrument. Just double-click on a sample to open the editor. When you click on a sample there, it will also change the current sample in the main window (if you have clicked on the sample icon below the instruments list).

doesnt seem to work for me I must be doing something wrong. I double clicked teh instrument, then double clicked each sample,i can see the different wave patterns but only get 1 sound. I can see the sound line position move only in the first one, if I click a different one. no sound position scrolls accress (because it's playing a different sample), and it still plays the first sound.
thanks tho,

Ah I see what is your problem. You need to assign notes to the other samples. If you don't do anything, all the notes will use the first sample.
So just click on another sample in the instrument editor, then "paint" the notes you want to play this sample with the mouse left button.

Exactly. This way you can create pretty neat instruments like Trinity`s piano (17MB). If you still got problems you may have a look at my tutorial (BeatMax tutorial). I am still searching for things I can improve.
Keep on Trackin....
