Hmm.... I'm not really finding any with the specification timestretch, could you recommend one? I'd like to just be able to load a sample, and then play different notes with it while keeping the same length (well duh, that's timestretching ). But you know, nothing fancy or anything, just to be able to use timestretching in madtracker. Or did I overlook something, might be possible, I'm quite new to VST . |
what is hip?

SpectralMonkeyage allowed timestretching I think, but it's hard to find now.

Magnus from Smartelectronix ( http://www.smartelectronix.com/~magnus/ ) has done a great reverb plugin called AMBIENCE. If you donate money he will remove the nagscreen. Its fully functional. Man its really great and so is the GUI. Donate guys! I will as soon as I have money.
BTW, Inge I added the list to my tutorial and checked each link, some of them are broken or link to unusable sites (adverts etc.) so I added only the working ones. The URL to the list is
>> here <<
Here is the download to AMBIENCE

@Beatmax: I just checked all links, and they all seemed functional to me. Every one - either directly or indirectly (for instance when flash is used and no direct download path can be copied) - gives access to one or more free plugins. Can you please specify what you removed? Would love to hear, so that the list is a 100% functional.
One thing: the list here will change over time due to input of forum users, and yours might do so too. Any way of synchronizing these two?

Just checked them all, and they are already listed in the main list. Thanks for the input though, especially since it makes me realize that they are worth being listed Any extra input is always appreciated! Whether is be user experience or new plugins that you found...write them down here!

@ Inge,
The links I cleared out have been the sample links not the VST links . I also added some new plugins to the vst-list (see below). A few new entries have been added and I changed the design a bit and sorted the plugins alphabetically. So if there are new additions they will be easier to add and overview.
Actual date for the VST-list is now 03.05.2004
->edited: 03.05.2004:

Here is another nice free organ-vsti I`ve found. I like this more than Rumpelrauschs ZR-series. It has a warmer sound. I really love those sounds. Great work sound and GUI for a Synthedit vsti.
ORGANized (made with Synthedit)

@Inge
Just tried out the demo of PRO53 of NI. Man this thing really rocks, unfortunately I cant afford it. It sounds really fat! |

You know what really would be cool? A dynamic database that can be moderated (let's say be three persons) to add and change vst plugins, and which enables users to mention new plugins, give scores and feedback on plugins, so that it reflects usable plugins and their rating in a madtracker environment.
If anyone thinks this is worth building, I'll discuss it with Yannick. He himself is also busy with something similar, but I'm not sure about the rating/feedback integration.

yes, I had a similar thought also. What really is needed imo is some sort of database of VST's and VSTi's, and especially information about how well they work with madtracker. |

Would seem a waste of time. Kvr does this already. More useful would be a list of vst(i)'s that don't work with madtracker. |

You're right about what KVR does, but that doesn't mean that it isn't useful for the MT community. I personally hold the opinion that the opinion of a fellow-host user is more useful than of some 40-year old Cubase addict. The advantage is that both problems as usage/tricks/limitations/options can be combined, resulting in a very appealing database.
But prove my wrong, please
