i've been feelig pretty quirky for the past couple of weeks, and tonight i managed to put my feelings to good use. the end result is a bouncy remix of the muppet show theme. my 1st finished track since the compo entry (which was done about 2.5-3 months ago).

WICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is just Great!!! ( yup with a cap g )

Only 1 thing though...
I don't realy enjoy the kick that much, it's a bit sloppy, maby a bit compression to create a tighter kick...

But, what a great track!

Plain great! Makes me think of Doop Smile Funky tune that would do well in a eclectic liveset to generate some smiles on the dancefloor. The bassline is a killer btw.

showing my age here..... I remember watching the Mupput show back in the 1970's as a child... and I too was expecting to hear the entire theme used. But hey, ya can't go wrong with just a small bit of it... Coulda used s drum solo provided by "animal" that would have been cool. but still ya can't go wrong with just the first bit used. It sounded good.

HAHA!! thanks guys i much appreciate your feedback.. jesse - ya know i was thinking of adding that solo in, as well as that bit at the start before the actual song comes in (hard to explain), but in the making, i found no real use for them. maybe in a remix-remix one day? Razz

qbical: i'm a little worried about what you said regarding the bassdrum. it's already been compressed and i chained it to the bassline compressor too, so they don't really overlap much, but because i have some pretty crap speakers, i wasn't sure if it's as punchy as i want it to be... does it drag a lot? too much low frequencies? i didn't really do any mastering on it cause i suck at mastering (lack of quality speakers makes one major reason for this). but if you can give me any tips on boosting or reducing certain frequencies i'll do it and see how that works out. i need this tune to have pretty decent sound as i'm planning to play it on sunday night at the club. so i guess it has to sound good on a loud sound system..

thanks for your help, in any case Smile

cheers guys!

Use the beat you have, drop in an off beat bassline, add some Juno's and you have a eurohouse tune, with the muppots Smile

*downloading the muppets theme from kazaa*

Ahh, so many memories... So many of them I can't freakin` well remember either! Razz

I do remember that Kermit/Sandra Bullock skit though, y`know, the "phenomena" one... And that Seinfeld babies thing, that was funny... also, the one when Sandra Bullock sung forever with her one person band suit, even when the janitor gave her the key so that she could lock the place up once she was finished... and that one time... *rambles on*
