Back	Review it!

SlicerXXL:   Bad

Shaoni.. This is possibly the most difficult review I had to write since I started reviewing on this website (to do something in return for everyone - altough my songs only get reviewed at the forum :) ). It is the most difficult review of all, because the song is partially average and partially very good.

To start I want to focus everyones attention on a very simple combination of sounds which I like very much! It's exactly what I sometimes make music for when creating trance - I try to find that 'familiar feeling' which is hard to create, but when you have it - a 'top-notch' song is born and people start remixing.

Well, this feeling I get just before the end of the song. It's at pattern 0D. Put this one on repeat and mute ( I am sorry Shaoni - I think that sound could be balanced better ) track 8. Again: mute track 8 on 0D and put it on repeat. And.. A top notch song is born :). Listen to it a while, to it's simplicity and decide for yourself. This could be the start of a song with the 'very good' rating. I think....

But I am sure you created this song not just to promote one pattern. So... Let's look at the complete song. But one compliment before we start, I think you have it in you to become a great artist!

The songs starts with a strange sound which I peronally dislike. It's a bit too messy and doesn't fit in the song at all. I think you should remove the first two patterns 00 and 02 and create a new start for the song (partially by using patterns 01 and 03.

Pattern 04 at 0:42 is again one that I like much. It's the same as the sound mentioned before, but I can't help it. Those strings really fit together! :)

Pattern 05, 0:59, has a little adjustments to pattern 04. I think these adjustments are ok until 1:30. Just good.. But if I was you, I'd stick to pattern 04 a bit more. Take this one to the next level :) and throw in effects (wind?) to prevent it from sounding boring.

After 1:30.. A part starts which is still good, but the sound at track 8 makes it bad. Recreate this one, decrease it in volume. I think this sound prevents your song in the first place from being one of the best in it's genre.

The end, at last is far to short as I have mentioned before. Please work on this one.

All together. This song has what it should, but some sounds and sudden changes are not good enough to keep up with the quality of the rest of the song. This song is one for remixing and recreating until it one of the greatest. But it sure deserves it's 'good' rating! ( After some remixing.. This song will be very good in 'no time'!) Hopefully you, Shaoni, will realise this too :).
