First of, it's a quite interesting song.
Now, I have no idea, where did the author started composing this tune, since I usually start with the melody. But in this case, there isn't any conventional melody (as the author says in his comment). But still, all the sounds fit together nicely. Especially I liked patterns 7, 8, 9 with these nice strings.
What I didn't like so much, was the beat. I don't know, it just doesn't fit with all these synths and strings. But I can't help you with how to change it, maybe try something breakbeatish...
Another thing that bothered me was the length of the song. It's too short for me... When I heard the ending patterns I thought something big is about to enter, but instead the song started from the beginning...
Anyway, I liked the track. The genre is quite exact, hard trance for the beat and electronic classical for the melody and stuff ;) Samples were of good quality and effects were moderately used.
I rated it as 'good'. On one hand, the song was interesting and original (either that, or I haven't heard most of the tunes here on Madtracker.org ;) but on the other hand it had this weird feeling not knowing what comes next while listening (which doesn't have to be bad, but in this case...):P Anyway, it's just my opinion :)
cheers and keep tracking,
ft
This song completely had me guessing what was what until up to about 2:15ish then an actual beat dropped in and i got to enjoying this tune... its just the start was completely not for me to say the least.
all the samples were good quality. i had to take a look at your string sample because thats the one that really stood out to me.
otherwise this song was good but deserves a little more climax. but thats my opinion.
