Sounds like: atmospheric drum 'n bass with a strong link to Goldie's Dragonfly.

Good:
Amazing theme. Atmosphere, melody, creativity and variations are all here. Beautiful transparant sound.

Points of attention:
Drums could use some tweaking. The retriggering is too repetitive, and would benefit from variations in type/speed of retriggering. A bit more low tones would be okay; the current subbass is too weak. A distinct bassline would fill the entire spectrum.

Simply must say wow! Compare this tune to the tune Lollie entered last year, and you won't believe what huge improvement there is :)

I like the bassline, and how it works with the drums to drive the tune. I would have liked a bit more variation on the drums though, especially the snare. A bit less of the fast triggering snare effect would have been good also. It messes up the atmoshpere in my opinion. Since drumloops are used however, the question is did Lollie program them himself?

I like how the mellow pads in the background give a contrast to the driving force of the drums. Also like the slight dist on the pads. A good choice in sample. It's a calm tune, eventhough it falls in the DnB region. It's not very complex, but it still works well.
It does however sound a bit muddy, perhaps the leads should be a bit brighter. Like the soloish character of the leads though, gives a nice variation to the track.

However, the track perhaps suffers a bit from being dragged out too long. Even thought the leads give good variation, the rest is pretty much the same throughout the track. It gets repetitive.

Overall though, this is a great track. Compared to Lollies entry last year it's lightyears ahead. Keep it up man, and you'll pass us all ;)

Beautiful and unusual choice of sounds, more than descent mix - good solid drums, which are important in a track like this. On the downside, the four chord progression with an arpeggio on top is pretty standard.

With "Reflected," Chicago-Lollie takes a lot of simple elements and weaves them together in complex ways, resulting in an uneven but enjoyable and entirely unique trance piece. Though weighed down with a bit too much filler and a 9-minute playing time, the song is just nuanced enough to remain enjoyable.

At the core of the song is a 4-part synth melody composed of quick 3-note runs, and though the song overrelies on this, it's still effective and serves as a good foundation, linking together all of the song's segments and adding cohesiveness. It helps that in the middle of the song, CL keeps the pattern in place but skips up the notes themselves, putting a fresh face on it before guiding it back to its original form.

Playing around this foundation are skittish lead synth melodies, synth counter-harmonies, ethereal pads and chords that shift in and out smoothly and subtly, fast-paced and subdued breakbeat loops, and understated bass-lines. The song could've benefitted greatly from more variation in the percussion and bass, but CL gets away with it by playing around so much with the other elements of the song, deftly adding and subtracting things to keep the song constantly moving along.

The sample quality and production isn't quite up to professional standards, but it still sounds quite clean and is certainly acceptable. The synths especially sound great, smooth and clean and touched up nicely with reverb.

What really makes the song work are its uniqueness and its atmosphere, both of which help distract from how repetitive the song starts to get towards the end. I'm hard-pressed to come up with any song that sounds even remotely similar to what CL has put together here, and the atmosphere created by the song is just wonderful. It's truly a shame that it's weighed down by so much filler, and "Reflected" would be much stronger if it was shortened down and tightened up. But what's here works, and works well.
