Industrial/contemporary tune. Interesting use of samples, that is for sure. This one won't suit everyone. Some might even wonder if this can be called music. The answer: yes, if you consider that it has a beat :)
There are some pretty interesting structures in this tune. No real melody to speak of though. Think robots, industrial manufacturing etc. and you'll get the picture. In that sence, there is a pretty good atmosphere, it could well be a soundtrack to some short movie about a manufacturing line.
Samples are of good quality, so the seemingly low-fi sound on some of the instruments is probably intentional.
But to be honest, I'm not sure I could call this music.

Listenning to it was painfull.
The samples are loud with a lot of noise.
The sound in flat and dirty.
I don't have the courage to say anyting more.
Useless...

It's a shame this track doesn't take off as it could because it has a lot of potential. Nice to see experimenting, and some of those fills and details are very nice!!
It could need a melody and a second piece to spice it up so it doesn't get boring. A bass would be very nice too. A deep "in your face" subbass like from the jungle genres perhaps..
Perhaps you could get someone you know who can sing fairly proper and who's very angry to sing something to the track (and don't forget that distortion!) :-D
Nice one! |
