Genre? Don't know...funk maybe? All I know that this tune has some very nice drumprogramming, although a bit repetitive from time to time (if this is supposed to simulate a real drummer playing).
The structure of this tune is another matter. Seems to be 3 parts somehow. First one part is played with one lead instrument, then the second with another lead, and the third with yet another. This creates a feeling that there is no real connection between these parts. The only thing that stays pretty much the same throughout the song is the drumstructure.
The instruments could use some more panning also, to give more depth and width to the tune.

Nice try to reproduce and human-like rock jazz tune.
Not THE compo tune, but interesting on many points.

I listen to a track. In the beginning the drum-type set very much impresses.
Continuation of a composition spoils completely all impression.
Themes are not present, the bass line plays false, a full harmonious discord.
At 2:06 something begins unimaginable, but it still anything in comparison of continuation from 3:17...
Impression - the composition is written the person who has good feels a rhythm at full absence of hearing.: (((

style: funky, experimental! one of the best programmed grooves here! very funky with various styles! bassline could be better - sometimes the line listens a bit "non finished" 2 me... very cruel and kewl instruments with strange effects - good. the arrangement could need finework -sometimes it sounds "2 much" 4 me - less could be more this time!
but cool groove and nice experimental style! more of it!!
P.S.: a hommage 2 that amazing D20 of roland? COOL!
