Posted: Mon Jan 10 2005 00:32 Importing samples of old .MOD files :) |
 |
Hi there,
It must have been years ago that I've found a software program that inspired me from the very first moment I started it... I have been playing with MadTracker all day now (just like yesterday) and I'm just in love
Anyway, a little question: I have a very old .MOD file with a few samples that I would like to 'borrow', for a composition in MadTracker. Usually I only rip samples from old bad 70's Kung Fu movies (which I sample myself), but I simply must have the very crappy 8-bit samples of the guy that says 'I collect trash in my brain, I believe you do the same' of the TrashCollector.mod file that I loved back in the days and recently found on the 'net.
I believe MadTracker does not support importing old Amiga MOD files (not really a surprise). Can anyone tell me how I could get the samples of the MOD file in MadTracker for a new up-to-date remix? (I only make music for fun, so it won't be released, maybe once on my website).
I've searched on Google for a program that rips samples of MOD files, but with no luck (all programs I found where written for MS-DOS and crashed). I have bought Adobe Audition v1.0 a year ago, so I can convert a lot of sampleformats to WAV for import in MadTracker.
Thanks for your help
Best regards,
Vincent |

Simply load the MOD file in MadTracker and save the samples you need. You can even play the MOD file.

Man. MadTracker is so 1337 that it can even load .MOD files. It's the ultimate tool for geeks! Hurray!

Was the problem partly due to filenames? I think Amiga usually has the file extension at the front, i.e. mod.blahblah. |
