Well I think that Madtrackers "volume" and MIDI´s "velocity" are pretty much the same thing. So it depends on the receiving device (vsti, hardwaresynt, etc..) how these velocity-messages are handled. Battery uses the messages to decide which sample, or sample-volume is played. Your bassstation probably uses these messages also to control the amount of cutt-of.

I know this Wink. I'm just trying to explain that Velocity is not always the same thing as hardware/midisoftware volume, although it's best to have the same command in MT2 as the sample playback volume changes Very Happy

It's simply that 'velocity' is not a tracker concept - because trackers were/are just simple single-layered samplers. However, the volume column (and the Cxx effects) could be considered as the velocity column, while the track volume is... the volume. Smile
And that's the way it is mapped to MIDI devices and VST plugins.
