 |
Hi,
I am currently working on a piece which uses VST instruments, but when carefully listening to certain tracks separately, I notice some annoying noises when using the track volume envelope. It seems like I am hearing the steps from the fader. There's always a very slight "clicking noise", similar to listening to a scratched CD. The particular track I am having problems with contains a VST Instrument. The funny thing is that the noise is also present in an exported wave file (with the higher interpolations turned on).
Does anyone have some experience whith this kind of problem and could maybe give me some hints on how to solve it?
Thanks a lot,
Alex |

Could you send me a MT2 file that produces the bug? I'll have a look and fix the problem ASAP.

Thanks a lot for checking it out
By the way, I just found out that other VSTis such as Powerwave P8 don't produce this noise. Could this be a problem with the Crystal VSTi? I tried to apply the volume envelope directly to Crystal's own volume control instead of using the Track volume, but it's the same.
Regards,

I loaded your file and made 2 exports: one without volume automation and one with the automation.
I noticed the same little glitch at the same position in both waves. I think that glitch occurs on the note-off events.
To me, it looks like a little glitch in Crystal - which would be confirmed by the fact you had no problem with Superwave P8.
