 |
Hi,
I need to make a music with the XM format. I used to use MT2, but it's for a game that use XM
I have a problem with somme sounds (wav) i load, as sample in an instrument, and that are not saved when i save my file.xm.
when i reload the xm, some samples and instruments aren't there anymore...
it's a 22KHz mono 16bits sound... i don't understant... |

The samples that are missing ain't samples from a multi-intrument? Cause I don't think FT did support multi-instruments...
or did I missunderstand this question |

Illogical, but still:
make sure that you don't use the 'keep on disk' option for your samples. Check the samples that have disappeared, and make sure that option is unchecked.
Toffe's answer about multisamples in instruments makes more sense; goo' ol' ft2 did have multisamples, but I am not sure if they are included into the actual song via the same routine as MadTracker does.
Good luck,

mmh...
well now it works.... i really don't understand !
I made like that : creta new instrument, import a sample... and save... it doesn't work eveytime.
Now i deed like this. Create new instrument, rigth click and "add sample"... it work.

This more indicates an installation that has flaws. Try uninstalling MadTracker via your configuration -> software, and after that re-install the program.

This is still broken in 2.5 RC 6. I almost gave up on MadTracker (new user here and first impressions count) after being unable to load wavs so thanks for the right click tip which works fine. It even randomly crashes in FastTracker mode but MadTracker mode works fine. Any chance of getting this fixed?
Cheers,
