Hi Schizo,

here is my example. I slowly raised the DRIVE of the Distortion so you can hear the difference.

Used VSTs: String Thing, Tube Baby, Buzzroom-Limiter (you can use each other limiter but otherwise it will blast your speakers Wink)

I can create an .ogg or .mp3 file too . Just wanted to send you the source file so you can see how I applied the effects.

About cool samples, does anyone know how to acheive a Norah Jones alike sound in MT2 (if it is even possible...)

(Meltic's winning MT compo 3 entry seems to show it is)

Best regards, TNK

Thanks Inhousepussy, I am glad you found it useful. Maybe I should add it to my tutorial. Smile

OK, so then maybe you can tell me what the hell I should do to get Steinberg Virtual Guitarist to work?

Maybe if you could post what settings you have in MT2 for your soundcard.
I figure my problem has to do with buffers and/or Callback...

In case you haven't heard of any problems with VG in MT, here's a short description:
When playing [directly] with keyboard I get what it should sound like. When playing a pattern containing notes using VG I get messed up sound. It's like half a second of guitar chord, and then it stops. No sound.
If adjusting the buffers in the sound settings I can get to hear a longer sound, like one second chord, and then the sound repeats for ever.

Now I know I've fixed this before in an earlier version of MT, but I've never got it to work since 2.5 RC4 (I think). The solution that time was to toggle "Use Callback". But that won't, for some reason, help me this time.

If you have a solution, please let me know.
