|
Hullo,
I have a set of WAV files that were created by a third party (see link below) using NI Battery 3. When I try and import these files as samples it simply plays them as white noise. I can play them in Winamp, Media Player (etc) but not Madtracker.
Format wise, they appear to be standard 24-bit stereo WAV. I believed Madtracker could handle 24-bit samples but i'm not 100% whether it can handle stereo samples.
Any ideas?
Samples downloaded from - http://www.jakerock.com/DIYAUDIO_JAKEROCKDRUMSAMPLES.htm
Hope you can help!

madtracker can't play 24-bit files, you get a nice burst of noise. |

Ah ha - i'm sure I read somewhere that it could. Ok, thanks - i'll convert the files into 16-bit tonight and re-import them! |

I also had this problem but now I can handle it.
The problem is that the .wav sample file is converted to stereo format - this should be converted to mono format and if possible to another format that Madtracker accepts, such as in .OGG Vorbis.
have fun with it! |

(thats nice, 12 year later response, but better late than never?)
yup, or just have to experiment with these settings about sample parameters about its bit alignment, and there is always the converting by recording over digital line. |

Even later reply. Yeah, I remember that Madtracker 2 only supports 16 bit / mono samples, just as the grandfather FT2 |
