I notice all these threads with a bunch of views but little to no replys. Post more, and this community will be alive like it was. I just happened to join near the end of the community's popularity. I was ten at the time. Come back people! |

dunno if this applies totally to this thread. but i took a midi file from madtracker to a producer and he used pro tools to turn it into a hit!
my song went from a 2 hour creative and experimental effort to a proper dance type track.
peace! |

i saw alot of people talking about renoise.
im still making alot of music with madtracker.
i plugged my guitar in, and sampled some chords.
then i used the simulog guitar suite to add tone, distortion and texture.
came out nice. a unique guitar sound. mainstream, but a unique tone.
i added drums, bass, synth.
thats what im working on now, and i still post in here, but ive never been a big poster in madtracker forums. even though my composition output has been quite large. |

I've done the soundtrack to a game called VVVVVV and things are looking up. I recommend new trackers to go to renoise, but I'm still using MadTracker for everything. The software may be abandoned but I just can't bring myself to change programs quite yet.
Golden_Vampire: I'd love to hear your stuff. I'm getting a box so as to record my electric guitar into the computer, that's going to be interesting, and I could potentially learn alot from you if you have gone thru the process already.
Drop me a mail: souleye@gmail.com and we'll talk more! |

my love of music started with music from computer games. its got to have something to do with being obsessed with madtracker. even though i dont often intend to write computer game music.
it may shock people that i mainly write metal music for madtracker. |
