Hello people,
you haven't heard any music from me for a long time, i wasn't even in the compo this year (wich i regret). I've actually been making hiphop beats for some time, since a friend of mine (also a madtracker, not on the forum though)told me about the fine art of sampling. Which is really a lot of fun to do. BlazzBattle (C-P-W-V): Nice, Bonobo alike hiphop-electro track. Pity you throw in the guitarsample, because it makes absolutely no sense to me. The beats itself and the jazzy loop are very much okay.
sample thread: uh?  What's this? Going DJ Shadow? This is too odd (and short) for me.

the samplethread is for a hiphop forum i'm on (where we post originals of songs that where sampled), didn't you recognise the samples from wellknown hiphop tracks like dr dre and snoop d o double g - nuthin but a g thang, or beatnuts - no escapin' this?
About the BlazzBattle, that one is my best work, and for a battle (like a samplepack compo kinda) for theblazz.com (hence the name). I think the guitar sample does make sense, because first it's really chilled out, if i would 've left it out, i think the track would have been too flat. Thing about it is, some people really like it, and some people really don't. But listen again, maybe you understand this time  What do you think about the mixing btw? I've been studying for audio engineer for almost a year now, and i think i really got better. |
