Wow - what a cool tune this (Bend) is. Great stuff!! I like the way you mix old school (sid) stuff with contemporary music!

Really liked the sound of the lyrics too (but not so much the 4 beat delay at the end of the male chorus..)

Kult navn forresten! Smile

thanks peeps. both tracks are WIP and should be regarded as such (there will be several changes made before they're eventually released).

Tom: looking forward to hearing your remix of Bend.

Martin: I'm not very keen on mixing the male vocals any further since it's myself singing (I hate mixing my own voice, sounds terrible), but I might look into it. og takk skal du ha, det passer bra synes jeg.

N0N: I get paid in feedback from people who enjoy my electronic mishaps so in a way it's still whoring Wink I don't crave money nor fame, I just wanna be heard. plain and simple.

Binärpilot,

Very nice work with these two songs. Bend Pre is a very amusing elektro track that flows into the current style of elektronics seamlessly. I really like the voices (okay, it's a bit of a Fisherspooner rip-off, but let's forget about that for a moment, shall we?), but I would have prefered the bassline to be harder-pumping-in-your-face-massive-roller-style.
Thunderpilot (not listed here: check binärpilot's website) is also a very interesting track with odd rhythm programming and very nice ideas and elektro-influences.

Happy to have you aboard, Binärpilot. I definately dig your work, and wouldn't be surprised if there would be tons of others who live in this musical category of the world.

Inge

ps: as for some nice points of reference, check out Cursor Miner with Tin Foil Lake and The Sport Of Kings. You'll love them. Definately. Alter Ego will also be a bit of your cup of tea.

Inge: first of all, thanks for your feedback and welcome aboard. LoneStar reminded me to register at the forums a couple of days ago and I'm glad I did.

funny note, I don't like Fisherspooner at all. I'm probably biased since I heard so much great things about them and when I got the album I felt like I'd been taken for a ride. however, now that you mention it, I can see how the vocal styling could remind you of "Emerge" (isn't it?). this was not by intent (she made up a melody to the lyrics herself) and I will not even consider altering the vocals of the song. I enjoy my sis' singing and we had great fun together recording her bit. now I don't want to come off as somewhat of a hack, but I'm not going to make changes because certain elements may or may not sound like somebody else's work. I know that not a single note I make is a blatant rip-off and that's good enough for me. I am sorry that you got that association to bend, but I'm not going to "limit" the track's development because of it. hope you understand what I'm trying to say.

thunderdays is IMHO a cool track, albeit lacking when it comes to mastering. I had great fun doing the drumprogramming on that one and I'm happy you like it.

last but not least, I'll try and snoop around for the artists you mentioned, thanks again.

dont any of them sound to close to emerge

on thunderdays, i dont know if it is intentional of not, but the resting bass tone (for example at 1:31 in the song) the little stutter bit is nice, i would like to here it less times in the song, (i think it would make it cooler and more intentional/strong sounding) but its cool.
