In the end of this week I'm leaving for Stavanger, Norway. The apartment is fixed and all the application forms is sent in. Whether I will have internet access or not I have no idea of at this moment but if the worst case scenario happen I just wanted to say goodbye and whish you all the best. I'll probably come around on vacations or check out what you are doing through a internet café or whatever. Anyways take care people and thanks again to the ones I've thrown questions and previews on day in and day out.
- Toffe, who prolly won't make it without internet and will therefor have to force the Norweigan state to build broadband to his apartment or he'll talk to the Swedish king about taking over the land once again... |

In case there is no internet connection available in your flat you could maybe get in contact with us by using the Stavanger-LiveCam...using a big poster with big letters on it:
But seriously Stavanger looks as it could be a good place to stay:

No, I live in Oslo.
I believe that Norway (as one of many other countries) has signed an international treaty to make internet/broadband publicly available (even in remote areas). And Stavanger is also an important city for the norwegian oil industry - so I`m pretty sure you should be able to get a decent internet connection there.

Just share a wireless connection with either Enigmatic or Pysj
But serious: good luck, and get yourself a freaking broadband connection as soon as possible!

Indeed it looks nice
And quite different from the grey and hazy place they showed on TV when I watched a report about Stavanger one week ago.
Some friends visited it in June. It looked quite nice. Very green and full of flowers. Actually quite much like my place.
I also spotted some nice tall blondes on the picture they took there
About internet connections : If Toffe had told us he would move to Bengladesh, we could have some doubts about his chances to get a broadband internet access. But according to the latest life-quality panel, Norway were the "most livable and most modern" country in the world (2nd were Australia, Canada 3rd). So I guess that getting a broadband access there should be no problem.
The place I live isn't even desserved by an electrified train line (they still use old Diesel ones here !...Polution rulez !), but we have broadband access since 2 years now

No no...
The place is sunny (that was the big minus point for Norway !), the people are wealthy (well, compared to other tropical countries), it "works".
If I remember well, New-Zealand was 4th, Sweden was 5th.
Germany, Spain, Belgium, France and Switzerland were in the top 10 too (France was 8th). The USA were at the 14th rank.
I can't remember the rank they had, but the "flop 3" countries were Bengladesh, North Corea and Afghanistan.

Actually if I remember well, they did not say "Belgium" but "Benelux", this would mean that Belgium, Luxemburg AND the Netherlands were on the same level (and anyway, much higher rated than Afghanistan !)
