Hey all,
I just uploaded a new track that will appear on my debut lp: the abstraction agenda...
I've been spending several late nights/early mornings working out the details for this debut, and would love some feedback on the track:
It's called 'one after five'
you can download/stream it here:

Hit me back with any and all feedback, thanks folks!!

Very chilled and cool! Your site looks pretty good too.
Did you play the guitar or is that sampled from something? Either way, it is really cool.
Listening to "Emergence" right now.....
-atmosphery (sp?) and laid back..good stuff
-good change of beat
-could possibly stand for a little more variety, but still good
Good luck on Oct. 19th
Peace,
David |

Yeah! Liking it indeed! However I was expecting a bit more from that (pam?)flute. But that guitar melody is simply great, the beat is real cool also. |
what is hip?

Second that, Walter. Beats and guitar are excellent, but the panflute kinda odd. It doesn't seem to melt into the overall sound, but instead jump out too characteristic. Some filtering/fx maybe? I understand that you need a 'distinct' sound to spice up the track (you can't keep looping that guitar piece without nothing happening), but isn't there another solution? Vocals (vocoder, sisters singing, squash a duck and mic it), bagpipes (yay!) or whatever?
Strings at 2.50 are luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuvely! Panflute also sounds better when layered over these strings/bassline than dry over the guitars. What about panflute only on top of strings, and some fx/vocal during the guitar looping?

I've gotten a lot of feedback on the flutes.....but, honestly...I really like em!! I think that they grow on you after a few listens...but that's just my opinion...
...also, this is a remix of sorts of another track called 'five after one' so, it might have a bit of a thrown together feel to it. But...once again, i'm all for it...it's a background track...turn it on and chiiillllll.... |
