It's the most apparent one, but also the least annoying, actually.
As I wrote before, it seems to appear only once per Windows session. I tried this with Win98SE and also with Win2000, and in both cases, this happens only the first time when I close Madtracker.
Nevertheless, me too hopes that this will be fixed. Wink

It happens to me everytime, no matter how or when Wink

but it doesn't really bothers me like a annoying bug that for example closes itself or something Razz

vst host doesnt support "VstTimeInfo" ?!?!

Hi...

MT has sync problems with vsts most prolly cause his vst host doesnt support "VstTimeInfo" wich is neccessary to sync pattern starts, envelope sync, lfo syncing and such.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/dox/html/structVstTimeInfo.html

or

http://homepage.te.hik.se/personal/tkama/audio_procME/doc/html/plug/2.0/VstTimeInfo.html

some vsts wich use syncing, and might be usefull for testing in MT2:

-Kjaerhus Audio Golden Modulator GMO-1
-Native Instruments Spektral Delay
-Native Instruments FM7 (Check the first preset:"Exciting")
-Big Tick Rhino (the rhythmic presets)
-SONICBYTES ERA
-Novation V-Station

Dont know if the vst host of RC3 already haves "Plugin Delay Compensation" but it would be swell to have it.

Hope this helps...

I thought the problem to that lie's in madtracker lacking a floathing point timeing or something. It never gives an exact BPM, it's always something like 135.0133 and that's why syncing is hard, most of the time you can tweak the VST's to bypass this problem.

The BPM MT2.5 passes to VST plugins is the exact BPM, not the one entered by the user.

The problem was in a part of the VstTimeInfo and should be fixed in the RC4.

Didn't know that, that would mean that my Korg collection should work fine with RC4 Very Happy

It could be that actually...When i closed the EQ the sound disappered...so it may be the CPU usage that's causing it...Yannick?

Hehe, I was about to post this, when I realized this was already 'fixed'

This is not a bug or anything, but it is annoying. When using more the one VST on one track the order you added them also effects the order in which they work. Damn, my english isn't good enough.

Example, suppose you have an analyzer on the master, and you realize your track is clipping, so you decide to add a compressor. You can then do what you want to the compressor but on the analyzer nothing will change, you then have to delete the effect, and re add the analyzer so it comes after the compressor. Then you decide to use eq too, and the whole circus starts over again. It would be handy if you could simply say this pluging should come first, then this, then this.Whitout having to reload the plugin (supposed you have made changes to the settings, you would have to write it down. Would be nice if this could be fixed in MT 2.5, but also wonder how this will be done in MT 3.

This is the way it works in RC4 (arrows to move plugins up and down in the chain of fx), but wasn't that also already the case in RC3?

Not a bug: 2 suggestions

Hi,

First of all, thank you for the work in 2.5 RC4. It is fine, but I have 2 suggestions:

1-. EQ´s. I think it would be better make them without gain. Now with eq you can saturate the mix.

2-. Stereo Delay Effect. I beg you to correct this effect. Now, is one line of delay that is panned from left to right.
Please, could it be 2 lines of delay, 1 for left and 1 for right, with different parameters for each one? This would make cleaner stereo delay effects.

Thank you!

Greetings,

VertiKal

Hi.
i have encountered some strange things in madtracker 2,5rc4

yesterday i started a song with it. a basedrum, a bit EQ to it,
and so on, after a while 5 tracks were written. now if i stop the module playing, the Processor resources went up about 3times as much as in play-mode. all the madtracker hangs in pattern edit mode, because the resources are in the red marking. pressing play again, shows that the processor uses only 1/3 resources again. deleting all VST plugins didn`t help.
the second problem is there since the "rc1-version" of MT2.5
it bugs with a "violation d acces a l adresse 00425BB3 daus le module MT2.exe lecture de l adresse 61637378" error. this appears when i try to open the file menu about 1 minute after madtracker has started. after this message appeared about 20times, madtracker crashes. i have the same problem on two different computers.
