 |
Sometimes the following error can pop up (especially in the config window):
"Access violation at address 004260c7 blabla."
If you encounter this error, please post as many details as possible about what you were doing and your system configuration (mainly the Windows version, CPU and memory).
Thanks.

I tried exporting one of my songs to midi, and it came at a really low tempo or something. So i thought, maybe i need to change something, so re-opened madtracker (i closed it to listen in winamp), and i tried to open the .mt2 file again. I got a message then that said 'error opening vst' twice, and after that a 'read error on this file' message, followed by: violation d'acces a l'adresse 004260C7 dans le module 'MT2.exe'. lecture de l'adresse 0339BF64.
I tried to open the .mt2.bak file then, but i got the same. I only got the error opening vst message only the first time.
My configuration is (I think):
AMD XP1800+
512 mB RAM (SD I think)
Windows XP Professional (if SP2 is the big update with firewall and stuff, then I have that one too) |

At first, I got this too. Though it disappeared the next time, and I can't reproduce it. Maybe something was confused with some old registry entries. I did not try a clean install.

Got it again, now after just opening a module (think it was made in rc3, or maybe rc1). Now with lecture de l'adresse 0000000D. I showed at first just one window, then when i opened firefox to report it here it opened another one. After clicking that second one many times it went away, so i could click the first one (both same message), and that went away too. Madtracker was set on play, so i pressed stop, en the message came back. I don't know if i should be so elaborate, but i just thought this was strange.
Edit, once more, now it's: 003140D2
This one was created in the latest public beta (rc 3 right?)
Edit again: tell me if i can stop posting, if this is helping anything i can keep posting every error i get, but if it's all the same, i can stop too ofcourse. |

This just happened to me tonight...I lost a few hours worth of work because for some reason no backup file was saved with the now corrupt file.
I attempted to open a second "Classic Compressor v116 by Kjaerhus Audio" VST and the violation thing came up and made my file useless and empty. However, the 60 MBs of song are still in the file, but the file will not open. Oh well, stuff happens.

L`adresse 004260c7 – 5B230A2B
Module: Mt2.exe
Win xp Home 5.01 Build 2600 Sp2 (fully patched)
Amd Athlon 1990+ (BIOS updated)
RAM 512
Cliking the OK button only results in a new window popping up – and I was forced to force the program to close.
The machine was just started and I had only watched an avi file in Mediaplayer before I started MT. Mediaplayer is perhaps the most unstable application on my system so it might have something to do with it crashing. Although it seems as if most users experiencing the problem has AMD cpus!? |
