Posted: Thu Jan 13 2005 11:30 [2.5.0 RC5] eq gain control sensitivity |
 |
Iv noticed that when adjusting the gain control on the eq panel is very sensitive. EG: What i mean is that the pop up that tells u how much db ur boosting/cutting tells me i'm boosting by 0.5db when i can audibly hear the gain which means that it is NOT 0.5bdb and is more like 6db. It seems like the gain is logrhythmic and not constant because when u give massive boosts it is not that audible compared to boosting close to 0db. |

I already told about that problem to mindplay (the donor of the EQ code). He'll look into it.

I think the EQ is great, so just change the printed value to correct ..
btw, if you want to have a bit more sensitive EQ handling, then click on the EQ wheel and drag the mouse as far as you can away from the wheel and then make the adjustment.

I have found more probs with the EQ. All the tracks that i have applied a bass cut/rolloff on now emmit this high pitched crackling sound. At first i thought it was a vst problem but I have now just figured it out.
I loaded a sample into mt and played it normally on 1 track (it played fine), then i decided i need to remove some bass, and then the track start this highpitched crackling sound. It went away when i turned the eq off. |

Can you also send me a little MT2 that illustrates the problem? Thanks.

Received. I think I heard it, but I'm not sure.
MindPlay (the author of the trackEQ) has already been informed, and he's currently 007'ing it.
