My suggestion:
What if the track routing was displayed next to the track name in the pattern manager? For example, if you had track 1 routed to track 7, and track 7 routed to track 8...
Track 1 > 7 > 8 would appear as the track name for track 1.
what do you think? |

With tracknaming this would be a way too long line:
Kickdrum > Distortion > Compressor |
