problems running mt2.5

Hi,

Are the minimum system specs for mt2.5 much different from mt232?

I recently rebuilt my machine (which is an old PII-300mhz with 128mb ram, win98, all I have unforunately) and decided to install mt2.5 recently for the first time. Tried playing one of my old .MT2 modules on the new version and the sound is quite choppy and the screen does not update properly anymore. I tried downloading someone's MT2 file from the Music Forum on this website and that would hardly play at all.

My old modules were fine on mt232, so i'm just wondering if the minimum specs have changed for mt2.5?

Thanks
Ben

No, they are the same.

Check your audio config, maybe you need to adjust the buffers.

Furthermore, lower your refresh rate (configuration -> tab display) to >75, and disable the track EQ display. These can be of massive influence.

You should ask for the minimum values... The smaller the buffers, the less latency. And that depends on the soundcard/system.

4 buffers of 15 ms should work for almost everyone.

hehe, you should probably start your post by telling which vst plugs doesn't work correct and then what's wrong with them. keep in mind that it's still a RC release.

"or else I going to cubase" hehe....
