Yes, I used to do that also. Pitch shifting, but it doesn't really sounds like scratching. I know I can use 01 xxyy and 02 xxyy. I have to say though that using the BPM command makes the sound really more scratchy then using the commands 01 xxyy and 02 xxyy only. The problem is how do you use these 2 in combination good. I succeed in only making horrible scratches, lol..
An example...If you have a sample. Half on it's way you begin a speed down setting the BPM higher. How would you be able to scratch back and forth repeating the exact same piece? Also the command 24 has to be used for this. Plus, the 24 command can't be used with other commands at the same time.
C-frog huh? Yeah, maybe I should. I'll ask him...

well, it's not so crazy, but it's not something you will use in every song (like delay, filter and reverb in madtracker). so i don't really see the use of yannick spending a lot of time (this could be quite complicated i think) on something where you cán find vst's for. that's what i think.
try to find a dj on the internet that will work with you on this. there a lot of quite decent bedroom turntablists that would probably love to work on a song with you. |
what is hip?

Well, I know, I am not expecting he's gonna do that for me, but I have no hardware that scratches to plug in my comp. Also, those VST things are hard to control, unless you are a mouse master or something. I am not that good with my mouse and it doesn't give a natural feel. A manual scratch would be my preference. Oh well, I guess there is no solution.
And the reason why I want to scratch so badly is that my style of music could use such a function. Meh, you can't have everything...
It's OK c-frog, if I see you at the IRC I will ask you |
