 |
Hi,
When ReWired to Cubase SX1.
Some problems occur:
1. When playing a succession of the same MIDI note in the same track, there are occasional hanging notes - the MIDI note off command appears not to be functioning.
2. When ReWired with Cubase you can play from the middle of a pattern. When doing this the first MIDI note of EACH track is played wherever you happen to be starting. There are no MIDI offs so playing can be very messy.
3. MadTracker doesn't play from my last editing position or the beginning of the track, so after hearing something, I edit it and then press play and I don't hear the edit as MadTracker starts at the position it stopped at!
4. In ReWire mode Madtracker doesn't loop patterns anymore - so it's much more difficult to navigate while editing - You run past the pattern you're editing!
When using MIDI (rewire or not):
5. When different MIDI instruments are used in the same track - use of a new instrument does not cut off the last instrument's sound (no MIDI note off). If you come back to an instrument it doesn't even cut off it's own sound.
It's hard to explain but if you do this you'll hear it!
Instructions -
edit mode
create 2 MIDI instruments.
set add to 4
start at the top of a track and run up a scale
select the other MIDI instrument
select different octave
move to a space in the SAME track
go down a scale
Press play
All of the notes end up sounding at the same time!
Regards
