stereo panning & Amplitube

This might not be a bug at all but MadTracker's stereo panning column seems to have no effect on IK Media's Amplitube. Can anyone else confirm this? Amplitube's output is always dead-centre.

I'm using MT 2.5 RC 5 (fix 2), and a demo version of Amplitube.

Perhaps the registered version of Amplitube allows stereo panning via the panning column... Question

Regards,

Sheepoid,
England.

It depends on the VST.

Sheepoid: I've just tested it with the full version, and the same problem arises. Whenever Amplitude is assigned to a track, it overrules the panning that has been entered in the panning column.

XnmE: MadTracker does support the panning of VSTi's via the panning column. It just seems that Amplitude overrules it.

Awww that's a bit of a shame - I really like this amp simulator, and I can only imagine that there must be deep technical reasons why it is overriding the stereo pans. Hopefully, Amplitube 2 (coming out soon) will allow stereo panning.

Sheepoid.

I've had a look in the parameters of the device, but I can't find any automateble panning-parameter. It could be there though: it seems a bit odd to me that an vst effect has no panning setting.

The only dirty work-around is to use the panning slider in the MadTracker's vst-shell of amplitude.
