Scoring 'the scene'...

Howdy all,

Just wanted to let everyone know that the newest episode of 'the scene'(ep. 8 ) features a score by me. If you don't know of the show, here's a little summary:

"NYU student Brian Sandro has a secret: he and his friends pirate hundreds of millions of dollars of illicit Hollywood movies in their spare time. They are revered, reviled, hunted, and admired. No on knows who they are - at least, not as far as they know."

It will be released a bit later on Today (sunday the 8th) It's a free download either from their website or from any filesharing network. So, if you're interested, check it out. Lata,

Very nice! It actually makes me proud to see that your excellent music has been used in such a sophisticated way. It really matches the stuff going on. Any clue how big the audience of this movie is?

About the movie itself: it feels quite geekish to watch 25 minutes of irc/trillian/icq communication, especially since the man himself has all windows blinded and a dual screen setup. But, to be honoust, it still is quite entertaining. Can't really tell why, but it's intriguing in a way.

TOffe: all the music in the movie is from kMotiv. I'm not sure about the beginning and the end though (the songs with the female singer, who sounds a bit detuned btw).

Inge

PS: Yannick will loooooooooooove all the IRC communication in the movie Very Happy

Inge...Hey, cool man, thanks.

The intro and outro song is by maylynne. It is a totaly geek show, but then again, I like it...soooo, well I guess it's time to admit that I'm a geek! Ha ha..

The audience is pretty huge, it's got quite a following. The writer/director told me that each episode gets downloaded between 250,000-500,000 times! Since the topic of the show is so relevent to filesharers, it spreads like wildfire through all of the p2p networks.

I had to upgrade the bandwidth on my site, to ensure that it wouldn't crash. I'm glad that I did! I've gotten quite a spike in traffic over the past few days...

Excellent to hear! That's really great news, and it's well deserved. I still love your album, so it was really nice to hear it during the movie.

Thanks for the info. This is also excellent promotional material for MadTracker. LoneStar will love the H4X0R-affiliation we have now Very Happy

I think the score was great, it suited the theme perfect too.
I must say I really liked the stuff too, the story was nice and it ended with a cliffhanger. But without your score it would not have been so cool.

Thanks for the link!
