Loading a module with VST´s

Hi,

Many thanks for the answer. Always I install MT2, I remove previous versions. But, anyway, I´ll do it again.

Yannick, now I´m on a business travel. In the weekend I´ll send you the crash report (with numbers Wink

Regards.

Greetings,

I experience the exact same symptoms.

Access violation at address 65636341. Read of address 65636341.

and then you can press enter as often as you want, but only ctrl+alt+del will help.

Open song with VST

Hi Yannick,

After uninstalling Mt2 RC6, shuth down, re install and shut down, I experience the follo wing problems.

1) If I open MT2 and load a module with VST´s, it crashes, and appears the following messages (in this order):
Failed to load VST plugin
Read error on this file
Error while cleaning VST plugins
Error while cleaning VST plugins

2) After trying to reach some conclusions, I think I found the problem. I do the following:
a) Open MT2
b) Load a module without VST´s
c) Load the module I want with VST´s
d) It works!

So it seems that perhaps there is some problem with initial memory allocation.

I hope this could help you to solve it.

Regards.

Greetings,

VertiKal

Does it happen with specific VST plugin(s)?

I don´t think so. I´ve tried with different modules including different VST´s.

This problem has been reported by several in the latest releases, and it is strange that none of the betatesters encounter it.

I also get around it by loading another module (preferably without VSTs) and then going back to the failing module. It then loads without any problems.

My best bet: memory, loadrutine, or VST "cleaning"

Smile

I've been getting:

Access violation at address 004FB8D7 in module MT2.EXE Read of address 00000071.

I'll get this when I'm either loading or removing a VST effect, it' not all the time, if anything it happens spastically.

Also I've noticed that when I get this error when loading a VST that it doesn't always show in the mixer, both in the VST Panel part of the mixer and above the slider control for the track the effect is to be applied to. However it does show in the main window. Another thing is when I remove the plugin I have no sound for a few moments.

I can take some screenshots if that helps?

MIDI Start/Stop

When I try to use MIDI as Start/Stop I can start a song, but when I tap the stop key on my synth, MadTracker freezes completely... I'm using RC6 on two different computers (and two different synthesizers). Anyone having the same issue?
