Hi Em22
Nice beginning with a interesting soundimage. Maybe a litle less reverb/chorus on the left bass. Promising start. After a while the drums become a bit static, could need more variation perhaps. When the singing starts, the soundimage becomes too complex for my taste. There is to much going on in the front, and I would have wished that you had differntiated the sounds a bit. I really like the sounds that you have put together and I think you could make this track VERY interesting if you mixed it a little more decisively.
A great track with room for improvements. |

Thanks Martin,
me and a close friend have been arguing, he says the mix is just right and i shouldnt start to tweak it, but i still want to do little chopping & tighening up.
Shall do so now

Very nice tune! The beats could be a bit sharper to give it a stronger driver, but its relaxed character at the moment is also nice. Bit hard to give feedback on this one, which probably is some sort of proof of its quality. Definately post back once you've updated it. I'm also eager to know if you are going to do something with this track (send to radio stations or something similar), because it really has a potential for (commercial) distribution.

nice!
Maby you could try to make the drums a bit more dynamic, experiment with different volumes of the highat for example and turn down the gain of the reverb on the snare.
What martin said is true, when the vocal comes in it all gets cluttered. Try tweaking the guitar at that point, here it sounds out of sync.
good luck!

Thanks for the constructive words guys, alot of people are liking the feel of the track, but i know what your saying it could do with those "final" touches and tweaks.
Im gonna get down and, as i said up there, make the drums sound more natural and a bit more varied, i should know after listening to hours and hours of basement jaxx atlantic jaxx remixes n matreial.
Hopefully Ill get time to zone out on it this weekend and do something special as im planning to send the finished version to a few select labels.
thanks for the good luck!
(starts to beat box)
