The winamp .mt2 file format plugin is not working with modules that contains VST plugins I think..
Can someone confirm this?
Is there a way to play this modules correctly in Winamp?
Please help me out.. |

I doubt the plugin has got an update since VST's were introduced in madtracker, so you're probably right that the plugin doesn't play modules with VST's.
EDIT: winamp crashes when I try to load a module with VST's... |

This is Yannick's call, but I don't think it's possible to use .mt2's with vst's inside Winamp. Winamp has never been able to load external (dx or vst) plugins, except their own format plugins. There where whispers about a DX wrapper, but I don't think that it ever saw daylight.
I therefore think this will not work, and shall not work in the future. It's the price of progress, I'd say. |

I'll see to update the Winamp plugin later. Can't tell you a date though.
There shouldn't be any problem loading VST. All will be done inside the plugin and Winamp will not even know about it.

But if you play an mt2 you'll need to have all the required vst's installed. |

Unless Yannick decides to update the mt2-format so that it can include vsts, of course . |

Haha! I'd like to see that... And then you just send your pal a 4gb .mt2 to listen to a new track you made, and in the process gave him VST's worth thousands of dollars worth! |

I talked to yannick about a "save to .exe" option to get a self playing stand alone track. Itīs the same problem with the vstīs. You canīt reduce it to the "free" oneīs... |
