Help!
I'm becoming a mac fan!
Anywayz, ever since I've bought my powerbook I'm pretty happy with the way the machines work and behave. I'm saving some money for a new desktop computer and while I was thinking of an uber-godly AMD configuration I'm now waiting for the new Intel Mac's to come out...
And there is my question, do you guys know if those computers will be able to run normal windows software, or to put it more specific, will they be able to run Madtracker and PC-only vst's, since those are the only thing I use my pc for...

Not sure, but I think so. Check out this site. Think Secret is pretty hardcore inside the Mac-scene, so there should be some sort of truth in their story.

Running Windows; Mac OS X on other PCs
Along with running Mac OS X, Windows XP installs without hitch on the Intel-based Mac, just as it would on any other PC, and booted without issue when installed on an NTFS-formatted partition. The only misbehavior sources encountered involved the video card. Initially, Windows refused to budge from an 800x600 setting on a 23-inch Cinema Display. Some prodding managed to get the screen to 1600x1200, but sources were unable to get Windows to take advantage of the entire screen.
Apple alluded to developers at its recent Worldwide Developer Conference that Windows should be able to run on Apple's Intel Macs.

No way. Linux also runs on x86 platforms, but isn't multi-compatible either. Either wait for MT3 and porting options, or surrender. |

You could try that VirtualPC Windows emulator for mac, though it's said not to work 100%. Should be worth a try anyways.
On a second thought, it should be possible to install both Windows and OSX on those Intel-based macs. Best of both worlds whoohoo. |
