The article is ok, it kinda shines through that the author wievs trackers and MT more as a beginners tool (which maybe it was back when he started out) than a real musictool. Allthough he does seem impressed by the features that are now implemeted into a (mad)tracker. He lists most important features and how trackers differs from a pianoroll app. He states that you would have to enter notes note by note, which is a little misleading when MT has the abillity to record while playing.

...man jobbar... med vertikala spår, som antingen spelas in i realtid eller används som en stegsequencer, där inmatning sker ton för ton.
Well, this implies that both ways work in MT2.5, as the Studio-reporter writes "realtime record or the step-by-step editing".
I believe the article is good commersial for MT2.5, and might even reach out to the target group of users that still haven't discovered MadTracker. As: Studio is a magazine that is usually read by typical Cubase/Cakewalk midi sequencer users, and I bet some of these readers finds Madtracker insteresting (if not the tracker itself, - just because of the mention of free bundled VSTs!), that they will visit the MadTracker.org pages right after reading this article!
Good work getting this article in the right media, and with the potential of many new registrations in the Madtracker.org community.

I've got this months paper magazine in my mailbox today, and the article was in there too. Basicly the same one as on the site though. |

KEWL!, Frazze gets more famous now with his VCR song which is included in the screenshot:
The rest is like abracadabra for me though .
But it's really nice that Madtracker gets the fame and reviews it deserves, after all it is a great product for just a fraction of money compared to all the other composition programs ... |
Music ... is endless ... Work in progress ...

They had a short test of MT2.5 in this months edition (#10/2005) of Studio.
Didn't go too well though , the grade got only 5 out of 10.
The thing they critisized was that they thought the interface was too messy (they made a comparision with Renoise which they said was more intuitive) and that there are no undo function.
Also they seemed to misunderstood something, they wrote that the wave export was free in MT2.5, which it isn't ofcourse.

Well, I've tried Renoise once, when it was new, and I thought it was way more messier than MT2, though they might have changed it since back then.
Otherwise, the only thing I can say I admit with that review was the lack of undo function.
